Professor Kemelmacher-Shlizerman's research is in computer vision, computer graphics, deep learning, audio, AR/VR.
Prof. Kemelmacher-Shlizerman holds a PhD in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics from the Weizmann Institute of Science. Her works were awarded the Google faculty award, Madrona prize, the GeekWire 2016 Innovation of the Year Award, Geekwire's Geek of the Week, selected to the covers of CACM and SIGGRAPH, and best student paper award at CVPR'21. Her work is frequently covered by national and international media, such as the BBC, CNN, and New York Times. Ira serves as area chair and technical committee of top conferences in both computer vision and graphics, CVPR and SIGGRAPH. She is a senior member of both IEEE and ACM.
On business side, Ira built a product Face Movies in Google in 2010, founded a startup in 2016 acquired by Facebook, spent two years at Facebook developing a product, and currently pursuing her passion for fashion tech products at Google.
